Polish universities among the best universities of New Europe

The magazine “Times Higher Education” presented the ranking of the best universities from the countries of New Europe, that is those countries that became members of the European Union in the 21st century. The list includes 53 universities from 12 EU countries.

There are 13 Czech and 12 Polish universities in the ranking. The University of Tartu (Estonia) and two universities from Cyprus: the Cyprus University of Technology and the University of Cyprus top the list.

The University of Warsaw is the highest-ranked Polish university and it took 6th place. The Jagiellonian University is ranked on the 13th position, the Warsaw University of Technology is 16th and AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków is 22nd in the ranking.
