Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin launches the Center for Medical Simulation

A Medical Simulation Center was opened at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. It is one of the most modern facilities for training students of medical faculties. Classes in the Center have already started.

– We have the latest teaching and medical center in Poland. We have overtaken other such universities in terms of equipment and quality. It will be used by students of all our faculties. Each student, before starting their practice, will undergo classes in this center on clinical and preclinical subjects – says the rector of the Pomeranian Medical University, Prof. Bogusław Machaliński.

The facility consists of 35 classrooms including an operating theater, an intensive care unit, a hospital emergency department, an ambulance simulator, a delivery room and a nursing room. There are also rooms of technical, clinical and surgical skills, ultrasound and endoscopy labs, an ambulance and 12 programmable phantoms.
