Poznań researcher to participate in the management committees of COST scientific networks

Dr Katarzyna Waszyńska from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (AMU) was appointed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education to represent Poland in the Management Committees of COST Scientific Networks.

The Poznan scientist will work in committees: CA18121 Cultures of Victimology; understanding processes of victimization across Europe and CA18124 – European Sexual Medicine Network.

Dr Waszyńska is a psychologist, clinical sexologist and sex educator. She is the head of the UAM Health Promotion and Psychotherapy Unit. Her scientific interests focus on issues related to psychology, sexology, and sexual health promotion.

COST is an organization that finances research networks that offer opportunity for collaboration between researchers in Europe and beyond. The network gives an impulse to the development of research and innovation. Since 1971, COST has been receiving funding from the European Union under various framework programs for research and innovation.
