Prof. Jan Blecharz to hold a lecture on psychology and sport at the University of Wroclaw

The Institute of Psychology at the University of Wroclaw invites participants on 19 March to meet with an outstanding sports psychologist – Prof. Jan Blecharz from the physical education and sports department of the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow.

Professor Blecharz, psychologist of the Polish team at the Olympics in Albertville and Salt Lake City, as well as national team in ski jumping, will give a lecture on “Psychological aspects of sports championship”. He will talk about the history of sport psychology, its main goals and tasks, and will try to answer why modern sport needs psychology?

In his reflections on the role of psychologist and psychology in sport, Prof. Blecharz will be accompanied by his long-time co-worker, two-time Olympic champion, three-time world medallist, Renata Mauer-Różańska.
