Professor Anders Grubb awarded the title of doctor honoris causa of Gdansk University

The Senate of the University of Gdańsk awarded the title of doctor honoris causa to Professor Anders Grubb, an outstanding scientist and doctor, a specialist in the field of clinical chemistry. The ceremony of awarding the title will take place on September 28 in the hall of the chemistry department in Gdańsk Oliwa.

This is the highest academic distinction that Professor Grubb receives for outstanding achievements in the field of medical chemistry and the impact on the development of new research topics at the Faculty of Chemistry.

Professor Anders Grubb is an internationally acclaimed specialist in clinical chemistry, in particular medical diagnostics and biochemistry. His research include studies on the structure and function of proteins and their use in medical diagnostics, in particular kidney diseases. For many years, Professor Grubb has been cooperating with scientists of the Faculty of Chemistry and he wrote almost 350 scientific works in collaboration with researchers from the University of Gdańsk.
