Professor Czerny from the University of Warsaw becomes doctor of honoris causa at Columbian Universidad de Manizales

Professor Mirosława Czerny from the Faculty of Geography and Regional Studies of the University of Warsaw received the honorary doctor degree of Universidad de Manizales in Colombia.

Prof. Czerny deals with development geography, socio-economic geography of Poland and spatial urban development models. The researcher is the author and co-author of numerous publications – mainly in Polish and Spanish.

During the ceremony of awarding the title of doctor honoris causa, which took place on November 20, 2018 at the Colombian university, a distinguished researcher from the University of Warsaw gave a lecture “Desarrollo sustenable y sus aplicaciones para la ciudad de Manizales” (Sustainable development and its application in the city of Manizales).
