Professor Janusz Janeczek from the University of Silesia becomes the laureate of the Honorary Pearl of the Polish Economy

Professor Janusz Janeczek from the University of Silesia received the Honorary Pearl of the Polish Economy – the distinction of the English-language economic monthly “Polish Market” during the event at the Royal Castle in Warsaw.

Professor Janusz Janeczek, head of the Department of Geochemistry, Mineralogy and Petrography of the University of Silesia, is a geologist, a specialist in the field of geological aspects of radioactive waste disposal, atmospheric dust mineralization and pegmatites. He is the chairman of the Council for Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection and the Council of the National Science Center.

Honorary Pearls are awarded to outstanding personalities and institutions recognized as authorities in the fields of economy, science, culture and propagation of patriotic and social values. The event is organized by the English-language economic monthly “Polish Market” – a magazine promoting the Polish economy, as well as science and culture in the country and abroad.
