The project “AquaVIP – a career development platform in aquaculture in the South Baltic region” implemented by a consortium of the University of Gdańsk, the University of Rostock and the University and Science and Technology Park in Klaipeda received over one million euros from the Interreg South Baltic Program.

The main objective of the project is to strengthen the labor market in the aquaculture sector by developing cross-border training, building a network of contacts and strengthening business skills. The result will be a career development offer for students and young professionals, a vocational training network for professionals and a virtual platform with e-learning modules.

The consortium’s activities include dissemination of the image of modern aquaculture as a currently available source of protein production, creating a market for both farm products and modern technologies as well as professional education in the countries of the South Baltic region.
