Projects of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology receive funding from the National Center for Research and Development

12.05.2020

The National Center for Research and Development has completed competitions for Polish-Norwegian research projects. Scientists from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology will participate in research on an innovative hybrid power plant and mobile air monitoring system.

The project “Power plant for gas with negative CO2 emissions” will be implemented at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It concerns the analysis and refinement of an innovative concept of a hybrid power plant using an oxygen combustion syngas from high temperature gasification of pre-valorised biomass, e.g. sewage sludge.

Also, the project “Highly accurate and autonomous programmable platform for providing data services on air pollution to drivers and public entities” (HAPADS) will be implemented at the faculty of IT and management. The scientists’ goal is to design and build an innovative mobile air monitoring system.
