Researcher from the Jagiellonian University developing a new technology in the diagnosis of diabetic complications

Agnieszka Kamińska from the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University is working on a new technology that will help in the diagnosis of diabetes complications. A PhD student from the Krakow university is one of the winners of the 9th program “Leader” of the National Center for Research and Development.

Her project envisages the construction of a device for the capture of extracellular microvesicles and the assessment of their molecular composition for the diagnosis of diabetic complications.

The device will be created in cooperation with the company MeasLine, which is interested in the commercialization of research. The innovative product will be used in the diagnosis of nephropathy in patients with diabetes.
