Researcher of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń receives a prestigious award

Dr Violetta Wróblewska, Prof. of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń from the Faculty of Philology of the university is a winner of the “Literature in the World” Award – one of the most important Polish literary awards.

A researcher from the Department of Cultural Studies received the award for the scientific edition of the “Polish People’s Fairy Tale Dictionary”, published by the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

Dr Violetta Wróblewska is the head of the Department of Cultural Studies and the Department of Folklore and Popular Literature at the philological department of the University of Toruń. Her scientific interests include traditional and contemporary folklore, children’s and popular literature and culture. She loves folk and literary fairy tales and detective stories. She has over 100 own publications. She participates as an expert in many national and international scientific conferences.
