Dr Grzegorz Królczyk from the mechanical faculty of the Opole University of Technology was awarded the Honorary Medal of Tadeusz Sendzimir for outstanding achievements. This prestigious prize is awarded by the National Council of the Association of Polish Inventors and Rationalizers.

The medal is awarded to the most outstanding creators of technology and organizers of the innovation movement in Poland. Until now, 311 scientists and developers received it for the development of innovation.

The laureate’s main scientific interests focus on analysis and improvement of production processes, surface metrology and surface engineering as well as sustainable production as a tool for practical implementation of the concept of social responsibility in the area of machining and surface metrology as a source of information about the stereometric features of machined surfaces.
