Researcher of the University of Gdańsk becomes a laureate of the Overture 4 competition

Dr Anna Klimaszewska from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk became a laureate of the Overture of the 4th National Science Center competition. The researcher will implement the project “Tsunami or a gentle tide? European legal thought in the nineteenth century in a collision with Napoleonic codes”.

The main goal is to outline development lines and parallels and differences between individual attitudes (views) presented in the nineteenth century by European authors in relation to five French codes issued under the order of Napoleon Bonaparte: Civil Code of 1804, Code of Civil Procedure of 1806. , the Commercial Code of 1807, the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1808 and the Criminal Code of 1810.

The project includes a scientific internship at Tilburg University, under the supervision of Prof. Dave De ruysscher, implementing ERC Starting Grant, regarding the impact of the publication of representatives of the science of law on the unification of code standards in the field of security of claims and bankruptcy proceedings.
