Researcher of the University of Opole receives Medal of Prof. Andrzej Waksmundzki

Professor Piotr P. Wieczorek, head of the Department of Analytical and Ecological Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, Opole University, was awarded the Medal of Prof. Andrzej Waksmundzki.

Medal of Professor Waksmundzki is an award which since 2001 the Committee of Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences has honored chemists for outstanding achievements in the field of chromatography and related techniques.

Professor Andrzej Waksmundzki was an outstanding physicochemist, founder of the famous Chromatographic School and he was called the father of Polish chromatography. The awarding event will take place during the 12th Polish Chromatographic Conference in Opole, planned for this year. This year’s award winner will give a lecture at the conference.
