Researchers awarded the Silesian Scientific Prize

Scholars and artists from the province Silesia have been honored with the Silesian Academic Award, a prize for scientists who have a significant contribution to the development of science, have special artistic achievements, and promote Silesian science and art on the national and international arena.

The prizes were awarded to Prof. Jan Kisiel from the University of Silesia; Dr Eng. Przemysław Data from the Silesian University of Technology, Prof. med. Beata Kos-Kudła from the Silesian Medical University, Dr Ewa Jabłczyńska from the University of Humanities and Natural Sciences Jan Długosz in Częstochowa, Dr Paweł Linek from the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice and Prof. Jacek Rykała from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.

The award in the PhD student category was given to Wacław M. Adamczyk from the University of Silesia, and to Konrad Graczyk from the University of Silesia, Zuzanna Rzepka from the Silesian Medical University and Mateusz Wąsik from the Silesian University of Technology.
