Brazilian scientist Taiana Mui from the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology won the regional contest Falling Walls Lab Wroclaw and will go to the final conference in Berlin. In the victorious speech “Breaking the wall of plasma in agriculture” she told what plasma is and how it can be used in the seed treatment process.

Second place went to Dr Sabine Wollmann from University of Bristol, conducting research on the possibility of increasing the limits of logic gates used in quantum computers. The third award was given to Masoud Rostami from Iran, a doctor at the University of Cologne, working on the creation of a model for studying the structure of the Earth and other planets.

The idea of Falling Walls Lab is to disseminate information about current research, to establish scientific and business cooperation and to broaden research horizons. The Berlin final will be held under the slogan “Great minds, 3 minutes, 1 day”.
