Researchers of Koszalin University of Technology support the wood industry

Koszalin University of Technology is implementing the project “Improvement of process and material efficiency in sawmill industry” within the framework of the strategic program of scientific research and development “Natural environment, agriculture and forestry” – BIOSTRATEG financed by the National Center for Research and Development.

The project is carried out in a consortium of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, Koszalin University of Technology, Koszalin Przedsiębiorstwo Przemysłu Drzewnego (KPPD) Szczecinek SA and Warsaw University of Life Sciences. As part of it, a modern device for grinding technological blades in the wood industry was installed in the abrasive laboratory of the university’s mechanical department.

The implementation of the research results will increase in innovation and competitiveness of enterprises in the wood industry. The Koszalin University participates in a part of the project, which will result in the modernization of technological processes and production procedures in one of the KPPD plants.
