Researchers of the Maria Curie Skłodowska University win the “Historical book of the year” competition

The scholars of the Institute of History at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin have become the laureates of this year’s “Historical book of the year” competition.

In the category “The best source publication devoted to the history of Poland and Poles in the 20th century”, the jury awarded Dr. Prof. Associate Mariusz Korzeniowski, Dr. Prof. Associate Krzysztof Latawiec and Dr. Dariusz Tarasiuk for the book titled “Polish Refugees in Russia during the First World War in the Light of Documents” published by UMCS Publishing House.

During the final of the eleventh competition, the prizes were awarded to the laureates. The organizers of the event were: Polish Television, Polish Radio, Institute of National Remembrance and the National Center for Culture.
