Researchers of the University of Gdańsk to build a thin-film photoreactor

28.11.2019

Researchers at the University of Gdańsk will create a thin-film photoreactor thanks to funding from the Tango National Science Center competition. The device will be developed as part of the project of Prof. Adriana Zaleska-Medynska from the chemistry department of the Gdańsk university.

The main goal of the project is to design, create and test an innovative thin-film photoreactor equipped with a photocatalytic layer in the form of nanotubes made of a mixture of TiO2 with Ag2O and / or Cu2O.

Researchers at the University of Gdańsk are also announcing the concept for the economic use of a photoreactor in such areas of the economy as disinfection and/or treatment of the water phase, conducting market analyzes diagnosing the demand for the production and / or use of a photoreactor. They also want to develop a patent application and acquire a partner interested in the manufacture / production and / or use of such devices.
