Researchers of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences receive grants worth PLN 4 million

Scientists of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław received grants in the call of the National Science Center – Opus 15. Their total value is almost PLN 4 million.

Dr Beata Łabaz from the Institute of Soil Sciences and Environmental Protection will deal with black earth soils in Poland against the climate change and the impact of settlement and human activity from the beginning of the Neolithic period. Prof. Krzysztof Marycz from the Department of Experimental Biology as the first in the world describes the influence of metabolic syndrome in horses on the functionality, steatosis and inflammation of the liver.

Professor Krzysztof Sośnica will set global geodetic parameters using the Galileo satellite system, Dr Jarosław Waroszewski will study erosion and soil development in the loess landscape of the Wzgórza Trzebnickie, and Prof. Aneta Wojdyło from the Department of Fruit, Vegetable and Nutraceuticals Technology will develop a model drink with pro-health properties focused on the prevention and therapy of civilization diseases.
