17.12.2018

The scientist of the Medical University of Wroclaw is creating an innovative wound treatment workshop to use ESW – Extracorporeal Shock Wave. The project will be implemented as part of the Mozart program 2018/2019.

The leader of the project “Decumed: Organization of an innovative workshop for treating chronic wounds with shock waves” is Dr Robert Dymarek from the Department of Nervous System Diseases. The aim of the project is to shorten the duration of therapy, reduce pain and exudate from the wound, as well as reduce the stress associated with impaired healing, minimize the occurrence of complications, and improve the quality of life.

The Mozart – Municipal Program of Supporting Partnership for Higher Education and Science and the Economic Activity Sector is a program adopted in 2012 by the City Council of Wrocław. Its aim is to support the Wrocław labor market by enabling companies to access the intellectual potential of scientists.
