Scientists from the University of Silesia act for the European Green Deal

Scientists of the University of Silesia in Katowice have established the Research Group of Righteous Transformation. Its purpose will be to undertake research and educational activities supporting the development and implementation of the concept of just transformation.

The changes assumed in this initiative will affect not only Upper Silesia, but also other regions that have faced the need to transform their lifestyle, culture and social values in response to the challenge of building the so-called green and ecologically sustainable economy.

The European Union’s “European Green Deal” program opens up many opportunities for researchers. Member States took up the challenge of achieving climate neutrality by 2050. By joining these activities, scientists within the group set up want to conduct research on the issues of just transformation and establish cooperation with domestic and foreign research centers and social partners.
