Scientists from the Wrocław University of Technology receive over PLN 4 million for research

Three researchers from the Wrocław University of Technology will receive funding for their innovative projects as part of the ninth “Leader” program of the National Center for Research and Development.

Money will be received by scientists from the university’s mechanical department: Dr Eng Rafał Mech for “Magnetostrictive-nano-crystalline composite materials for use in the field of energy recovery and transformation” (co-financing amount PLN 1 193 550); Dr Eng Patrycja Szymczyk for “Incremental production of individualized medical devices based on polymeric biomaterials” (PLN 1,195,000) and Dr Eng Adrian Zakrzewski for “Process control of material treatment with a laser beam using chromatic aberration” (PLN 875,000).

The Leader program is addressed to young researchers who want to gain experience in managing the implementation of a research project and improve their competences in building, managing and directing their own research team.
