Scientists of the University of Economics in Katowice awarded in the Progres3 competition

The work of scientists of the University of Economics in Katowice was awarded in the competition for the best PhD dissertation delivered in 2018 at universities forming the Progres3 consortium.

The first prize in the “Economics, finance and management” category was awarded to Dr Grzegorz Krawczyk for “Impact of the public procurement system on the functioning of the transport market in Poland”. The work of Dr Aleksandra Sabo-Zielonka “Decision models in the planning of order picking in a modern warehouse” won the second prize in the category “Information Technology and Electrical Engineering”.

The third prize in the category “Health Market” was obtained by Dr Karolina Szymaniec-Mlicka for “The impact of the strategic orientation of the organization on the effectiveness of its functioning on the example of public health entities”.

The Progres3 consortium consists of universities from the Czech regions: Moravian-Silesian, Žilina, Trenčín and Banskobystric, as well as Silesian and Opole Voivodships.
