Silesian University of Technology to launch an interdisciplinary course – nanotechnology

Silesian University of Technology is launching the second degree studies on the interdisciplinary field of nanotechnology implemented by seven faculties of the university. Classes will be conducted in the summer semester, in the design mode with individual academic care.

Students of the new field will acquire interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of physics, chemistry, material engineering, designing the structure and properties of engineering materials, as well as their production technologies combined with the ability to use modern IT tools used for numerical simulations of phenomena and processes in nanotechnology.

Graduates will become the appropriate staff for technologically advanced industrial enterprises in the sectors of modern technologies related to electronics, optoelectronics, optics, photonics, medicine and pharmacy, environmental protection, automotive, aerospace, machine, textile and clothing, cosmetics, agricultural and food industries.
