SOLARIS to develop Polish Laser on Free Electrons

17.01.2019

The National Synchrotron Radiation Center SOLARIS will take part in the construction of the Polish Laser on Free Electrons.

The SOLARIS Center is a department of the Jagiellonian University specialized in research of synchrotron radiation. It is one of the partners of the PolFEL project, whose leader is the National Center for Nuclear Research in Świerk near Warsaw.

Free electron lasers and synchrotrons are the most technologically advanced research devices used in modern science. PolFEL will allow the development of basic and technological research in physics, chemistry, biology, material engineering and other fields.
