Wojciech Janas, a student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Krakow University of Technology, as part of his engineering and master’s thesis, developed bicycle designs with special devices that change the regular single-track bike into a stable three-seater bicycle or a racer for a teenager. The tilting bike has been patented in the Polish Patent Office.

Creating a three-wheeled vehicle was the first idea for an engineering work. The main idea was the changing an ordinary bike into a three-wheeled vehicle, which is more stable, and its use would bring more pleasure to people of all ages. The change had to be smooth without any changes in the construction of the bicycle – Janas explains.
His solution was modeled on the French KIFFY vehicle. The difference is that the French bicycle is produced as a ready tricycle, and his construction easily passes from two to three wheeled and vice versa.
