15.01.2020

Grzegorz Lipski, a student of the AGH University of Science and Technology (AGH) in Krakow, created a virtual art gallery as part of his engineering work. The virtual gallery presents over 140 various works of art.

The author of innovative engineering work is a student of applied computer science at the Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science AGH.

After putting on the VR goggles, the viewers can move to a virtual gallery created from scratch, which does not exist in the real world, where over 140 exhibits were presented on a virtual area of 690 m2.

The collection consists of wooden and stone sculptures, bas-reliefs, paintings and porcelain figurines. This is the first virtual exhibition in Poland, where users can freely navigate in the gallery and also interact with the pieces of art e.g. pick them up and rotate. and learn more through audio recordings. The author of all the presented works is the local artist and at the same time the student’s neighbor, Zygmunt Niewiadomski.
