Students and graduates of the Silesian University of Technology are laureates of the Fiat competition

Six works of students and graduates of the Silesian University of Technology were awarded the prize of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles group for the best diploma and research works. The aim of the 19th competition is to support young scientists who are passionate about the automotive industry and its modern construction solutions.

The awarded works are: “BATT2CARS electric vehicle – traction calculations”; “BATT2CARS electric vehicle – prototype construction”; “A new generation of energy-saving permanent magnet synchronous motors for automotive applications”; Test Thermo-Shock application on the cDAQ platform in the context of IIOT (Industrial Internet of Things); “The influence of boron on the structure and hardness of ductile iron” and “Optimization and numerical analysis of the strength properties of the connecting-rod of an internal combustion engine”. This last job also won the prestigious Giovanni Agnelli prize, awarded by the Fiat Research Center in Torino.
