In February 2020, the Wolf Expedition 2020 expedition took place. Students from the Faculty of Forestry of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw together with their friends from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań and the University of Agriculture in Krakow tracked the Bieszczady wolves.

It was the 17th Wolf Expedition in Polańczyk. After the training on the biology and ecology of the wolves conducted by Adam Gełdon from the Spychowo Forest District, students divided into small groups departed to comb the furthest spots of the Baligród, Cisna, Komańcza, Lutowska and Stuposiany Forest Districts. During the expedition, students managed to track down bison and Ural owls in addition to wolves. They also found bear tracks.

The organizer of this year’s Wolf Expedition was the Youth Club of the Association of Forestry and Wood Engineers (KM SITLID) operating at the Faculty of Forestry of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences SGGW and the Scientific Club of Student Foresters WL SGGW.
