Students of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań win Diamond Grants

Seven outstanding students from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań became the laureates of the 7th program of the Diamond Grants. They will receive up to 220,000 PLN for their research to pave the way to the career in science.

The winning students are Joanna Sokołowska and Mateusz Żmudziński from the faculty of biology; Małgorzata Elżbieta Bołt and Dawid Marcinkowski from the Faculty of Chemistry; Agnieszka Aneta Waligóra from the faculty of Polish and classical philology; Karolina Jadwiga Dziadura from the faculty of physics and Marcin Paweł Mielewczyk from the historical department. During the project implementation, they will receive up to PLN 2,500 per month for the implementation of their first independent research projects, lasting from 12 to 48 months.
In the 7th program, 80 winners were selected. “Diamond Grant” annually supports up to 100 most talented students or graduates of the studies in Poland. Almost 600 people have been awarded with scholarships since the first program.
