The students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Bialystok University of Technology and their ARGO rover took the second place in the Canadian International Rover Challenge.

The Canadian International Rover Challenge is based on the simulation of the Martian mission. The rover is to take samples of the soil and look for life in them, run mining equipment and find a wounded astronaut, seal his space suit and deliver oxygen.

The construction of the Argo rover was supported by the Mayor of Białystok under the agreement on the promotion of the city. Participation in the competition was financed by the project “The best of the best! 2.0.” as part of the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development co-financed by the European Social Fund.
