Students of the University of Life Sciences in Wroclaw created an application for the Romanian Timisoara

13.03.2019

The Students’ Scientific Planning Association Puzzle at the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław has prepared a mobile application for tourists who want to visit Timisoara – a city in Romania, which in 2021 will be the European Capital of Culture.

Wrocław students, using a mobile application based on the GPS system, carried out an inventory of the Timisoara center and chose the most attractive and familiar places presenting the cultural life in the city. The obtained data served to create an interactive map, the so-called Story Map under the name LightUP Timisoara!

The area of study included mainly the city center, with its monuments, parks and stories related to those places. The application offers the user information about the place’s history in three different languages: English, Romanian and Polish.
