Students of the University of Torun to carry out social innovation

Members of the Scientific Society of Young Special Counselors at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń received a grant for the implementation of social innovation “Challenges of life”.

Celina Kamecka-Antczak, Anna Nowak, Anna Pawlak, Mateusz Szafrański, Krystyna Popowska, Sandra Wojtas and Klaudia Wos from the Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences will use the received grant for creating and testing a board game as a tool of sexual education for adult students of special schools with moderate and severe intellectual disability. During seven months of grant application process young scientists took part in scientific research and numerous professional trainings.

The grant will be implemented for half a year as part of the project “Innovation for Human Measure – support for the development of microinnovations in the area of ​​care services for dependent persons” co-financed from the European Social Fund.
