Students of Warsaw University took the third place in the international Mars rover competitions

The Rover Team from University of Warsaw took third place in the Mars Canadian International Rover Challenge 2019. 12 student teams took part in the finals, which were held in Drumheller in Canada.

During the competition, each team performed 5 tasks that were assessed for the design of rovers and the skills of their operators. They included moving on difficult terrain, collecting surface samples and repairing equipment.

The first place in the competition was taken by the OSURC Mars Rover team from Oregon State University, and the second by Husky Robotics from the University of Washington. The UW team, which took third place, consists of the students of the faculties of Physics, Geology, Mathematics, Computer Science and Mechanics and the College of MISMap.
