Success of the International Center for Quantum Technology Theory of the University of Gdańsk

07.08.2019

Two projects from the International Center for the Theory of Quantum Technology at the University of Gdańsk obtained grants in a competition for international research projects in the field of quantum technologies. This success strengthens the position of the university as one of the world leaders in the field of quantum physics.

Thanks to co-financing, Gdańsk scientists, in cooperation with teams from the Czech Republic, France, Spain and Germany, will carry out the project “ApresSF. Quantum super-resolution in spatial and frequency measurements “. Its results can be used in astronomy (finding distant planets), aviation technologies and spectroscopy.

The second of the co-financed projects – “eDICT. Experimentally-oriented Device Independent CrypTography” is conducted jointly with scientists from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Switzerland and can improve the methods of secure data encryption.
The competition is organized by the QuantERA consortium and coordinated by the National Science Center.
