“Terrorism and Medicine” at the Collegium Civitas in Warsaw

The Center for Research on Terrorism of Collegium Civitas organizes a scientific conference “Terrorism and Medicine”, which aims to present the threats and exchange views and practical experience on the medical aspects of terrorism.

During the conference, the specialists in the field of terrorism and medicine will hold lectures on the medical aspect of terrorism. The Warsaw University emphasizes that terrorist attacks become a new challenge for medical services. Issues related to the medical aspects of terrorism create a vast, multidisciplinary branch of knowledge, combining elements of disaster medicine (mass events), organization of emergency medical systems, clinical disciplines (specificity of injuries), forensic medicine, organization of the victim identification process as well as clinical psychology. The area of health threats is extremely wide and includes chemical, biological, radiation threats.
The conference will start on April 25, 2018 at 8.00, in the Aula Collegium Civitas (XII floor of the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw).
