20.06.2018

The debate with the participation of pupils from Szczecin schools completed the PhilosophUS project, which was realized in 2017-2018 at the Szczecin University.

The aim of the project was to increase the level of argumentative and communication skills of schoolchildren of the West Pomeranian Region. The operation covered ten schools of the region – nine secondary schools and a junior school, in which employees and PhD students of the humanities faculty conducted classes in philosophy. The project was co-financed from the funds of the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development.

During the debate, the students presented their argumentative skills answering questions: “Can a computer think like a human?”; “Are there universal cultural values?”; “Can you understand other cultures?” And “Post-truth and a lie. Are they the same? Is post-truth a kind of truth or lies? “
