Dr Agata Karska from the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Informatics at the University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń became the Environmental Star of Internationalization by the Education Foundation “Perspektywy”.

The Toruń researcher received the special Rising Star award. The prize is awarded to scholars under 35 years and whose achievements have been noticed not only at the home university, but also in the national and international dimension.

The award committee appreciated Dr Karska for successfully combining scientific research at a global level with the function of the dean’s plenipotentiary for internationalization and coordinating a number of projects aimed at increasing the internationalization of research and education at the University.
