University of Economics in Katowice comes the third in the FINSIM Academic League competition

The Bank Robber$ team representing the University of Economics in Katowice took the third place in the FINSIM Academic League competition in 2018/2019. The seventh competition gathered 18 bank teams with nearly one hundred students from 16 Polish universities.

The FINSIM Academic League is a training event using a simulation game – financial management of a bank. Participants, as the boards of virtual banks, work out one of the macroeconomic scenarios, and finally, learn how their decisions are translated into bank share prices on the FINSIM virtual stock exchange.

– Robber$ Bank was distinguished by its active approach to the bond market, where it was able to earn on successful operations. The bank bet on a short-term CD, maintained a good rating and as the first bank focused its own shares. Acquisitions and high profits resulted in the highest of all teams profit per share (EPS) at the level of 14.20.
