University of Economics in Katowice to hold discussion about money – yesterday, today and tomorrow

The University of Economics in Katowice invites participants to the conference on May 23 entitled “Money yesterday, today, tomorrow, in Silesia and not only there” Its purpose is to present the history of money in Poland and Silesia.

The research and teaching staff of the University of Economics in Katowice, the Warsaw School of Economics and the National Bank of Poland will also discuss the form of money in the future in the light of the changes taking place in the modern market economy and the related challenges. The list of lecturers include Prof. Janina Harasim from the Department of Banking and Financial Markets of the University of Economics in Katowice, Robert Klepacz – Deputy Director of the Payment System Department of the NBP, Dr Anna Szelągowska from the Warsaw School of Economics, Dariusz Mazurkiewicz – president of the Polish Standard of Payments and prof. Jacek Pietrucha from the Department of Economics of the Silesian University.
