The laboratory is interdisciplinary and first of all it will serve students from two practical faculties – journalism and social communication as well as knowledge about film and audiovisual culture.

This is one of the most modern film laboratories in Poland. For its creation, the University received funding under the Regional Operational Program of the Pomorskie Voivodeship for the years 2014 – 2020 in the amount of over PLN 4 million, while over PLN 1 million is own contribution.

During the opening ceremony, a live program was recorded and the laboratory’s possibilities could be assessed. The guests listened to information from the University of Gdańsk, conducted by spokeswoman Dr Beata Czechowska-Derkacz and weather forecasts, presented by the university’s chancellor Dr. Mirosław Czapiewski. https://ug.edu.pl/media/aktualnosci/80613/uroczyste_otwarcie_laboratorium_symulation_nagran_telewizyjnych_i_dokumentacji_filmowej_uniwersytetu
