University of Lodz begins accepting applications for the Doctoral Schools

22.07.2019

From July 22, 2019, the students can apply for four Doctoral Schools of Humanities, Social Sciences, Science of Life Sciences and BioMedChem at the University of Lodz (UŁ).

The BioMedChem school will be run jointly with two institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN): the Institute of Medical Biology and the Center for Molecular and Macromolecular Studies. Agreement on this matter was concluded on May 20 this year by Prof. Antoni Różalski, rector of the University of Lodz.

Education in all schools lasts 4 years. Reform of the science of Deputy Prime Minister Gowin predicts that doctoral students will be educated in doctoral schools, not in the faculties. Anyone who enters a doctoral school will receive a scholarship. No one will pay for doctoral education, as the division between stationary and non-stationary modes disappears. The changes are to raise the scientific level of future doctors.
