26.04.2018

The University of Lodz was the first state university in Poland to sign the Diversity Charter. It is a commitment, signed by organizations that prohibit discrimination in the workplace and express their readiness to act for the promotion of diversity.

The Promotion Center of the University of Lodz announces that the decision to sign the Charter is a natural consequence of the direction adopted by the university, basing on the conscious acceptance of each person in all its complexity.

More than 2,000 foreign students from 95 nationalities and almost all continents of the world study at the Łódź University. Its rector makes sure that it supports and integrates foreign students with the city’s inhabitants. In this way, it refers to the best traditions of Łódź – a city of many cultures. The University of Lodz is also the originator of the all-year University-Diversity action, integrating students from abroad with Polish students.
