18.03.2019

The District Bar Council, the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Opole and the Self-government of the Opolskie Voivodeship have signed an agreement on the implementation of the program “Legal Awareness as a Way to Teen Security.”

The signatories of the agreement want to work together to shape correct attitudes towards other people in the consciousness of schoolchildren and to respect their rights. The program was created in response to the needs arising from the diagnosis and interviews with teachers, students and parents, but above all in response to the growing number of court cases involving minors.

Within its framework, the organizers are planning meetings with students in schools, workshops for teachers and willing parents, simulations of courtroom hearings for students and a summary conference. Classes for senior pupils of 22 schools of the province Opole district will be led by advocates of the District Bar Council and law students.
