University of Opole signed a contract with the contractor of the Pomology project

The University of Opole has signed a contract with the contractor of the Pomology project, assuming the construction of the International Center for Research and Development for Agriculture and Agro-Food Industry on the premises of the former Royal Agricultural Academy in Prószków and on the campus of the university in Opole.

The contract was signed by the rector of UO, Prof. Marek Masnyk and the president of Techbud sp.z o.o. Dawid Woś. The International Research and Development Center for Agriculture and Agro-Food Industry will be built on the so-called pomology, that is, in the premises after the former Nature School Complex in Prószków in Poland.

The university is planning to construct laboratory conducting paid research for agri- food companies in: toxicology, ecotoxicology, soil science and precision agriculture. There will also be experimental plots, educational paths and a space to organize agricultural events, e.g. fairs.
