The University of Silesia organized a social campaign “Share the laptop”, which aims to support children and young people who have difficult access to computers and the Internet during the epidemic state in Poland.

The campaign is aimed at encouraging people, including the academic community, to lend their unnecessary laptop for children staying in educational and care facilities for the time of closing schools. Lack of appropriate equipment and the possibility of using a computer network means that some children cannot learn remotely, and therefore do not fulfill one of the basic rights of the child – the right to education.

The condition is that the surface of the shared computer was disinfected. Also, the equipment should be able to be connected to the Internet via wi-fi and have any office package.
