University of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała to examine the graphene concentrates for 3D printing

04.10.2019

The Institute of Textile and Polymer Materials Engineering of the University of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała will implement the project “Graphene concentrates for applications in 3D printing technology”. The works are co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development (NCBiR) as part of the Intelligent Development Operational Program for 2014-2020.

The aim of the project is to produce concentrates based on thermoplastic polymers containing graphene and its derivatives, which will be used to produce new, innovative filaments used in 3D printing.

The project for PLN 900,000 allows to purchase of high-class research equipment for physicochemical analysis of materials. The research will be conducted jointly with consortium members – Finotech Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Katowice and InnoPlast Sp. z o.o. with headquarters in Katowice. The total value of the project is almost PLN 3.8 million, of which almost PLN 3.4 million is funded by the National Center for Research and Development.
