University of Toruń scientists succeed at the Paris inventions fair

The inventions of scientists from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń have been recognized at the 117th International Exhibition of Invention “Concours Lépine 2018” in Paris. Michał Meina from the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Informatics and Dr Krzysztof Rykaczewski from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science won Medal of the Minister of Internal Affairs of France and the gold medal “Concours Lépine 2018” for “The method of determining the position of the object, in particular of man, and the device for determining the position of man”.

A team of scientists from the faculty of biology and environmental protection headed by Dr Grażyna Dąbrowska was awarded the International Eiffel Award from the French Federation of Inventors for “Method of seed preparation using a biological stimulator”.
Prof. Jerzy Łukaszewicz and dr Anna Ilnicka from the Department of Materials Chemistry, Adsorption and Catalysis received the he bronze medal for the “Method of producing carbon nanotubes”.
