University of Warsaw opens a Cooperation and Dialogue Center

On September 24, 2019, the University of Warsaw (UW) opened the Cooperation and Dialogue Center. This new organization will be a platform for cooperation and communication between the university and the socio-economic environment. The opening of the Center was accompanied by a debate on the role of universities in shaping the quality of public life.

The Cooperation and Dialogue Center was established to promote the academic achievements and successes of the academic staff and to make knowledge and university research resources available to a wide audience, partners and external institutions.

The opening of the Center was accompanied by an expert debate entitled “In the age of widespread misinformation: the role of modern university and science of the 21st century in shaping the quality of public life in Poland”, which was attended by Prof. Marcin Pałys, rector of the University of Warsaw, Prof. Anna Giza-Poleszczuk, initiator of establishing the Cooperation and Dialogue Center and Dr Anna Budzanowska, general director at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
